Shawn is a co-owner of Twin Lakes Physical Therapy since its inception in October of 2001. Shawn was on staff as a Physical Therapist with Coliseum Medical Center in the outpatient department and also at Oconee Regional Medical Center as a staff Physical Therapist. Shawn has completed his Certification as an Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and can evaluate your home and work site to help prevent injuries in these places.

Shawn was raised in Milledgeville and loves to watch NASCAR, UGA football, spending time with the kids and deer hunting. Shawn is married to his wife, Christie and has two children.

Chris Alford

Chris is a co-owner of Twin Lakes Physical Therapy and joined the group in August of 2003. Prior to Joining Twin Lakes, Chris was the Manager of the Sports Medicine Department at McCleod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. He has also previously worked at Oconee Regional Medical Center, Hitchcock Rehabilitation in Aiken, SC, and Park Ridge Hospital in Asheville, NC.

Chris is on the Website Content Committee for the Sports Physical Therapy Section (SPTS) of the American Physical Therapy Association (2014-2017). He was the past Editor of the Sports Section (quarterly newsletter for the SPTS) and Newsletter Team Coordinator from 2001-2005.

He has presented nationally on topics including post-operative recovery of various shoulder and knee sports injuries. He has presented multiple times at the Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association, South Carolina Physical Therapy Association’s Fall Conference and North Carolina’s Physical Therapy Association’s Fall Conference. He has authored a chapter in a text book (“Rehabilitation for the Post Surgical Sports Patient: Knee and Shoulder”) called “Arthroscopic Lateral Release” 2006.

Chris is married to Leslie, has two boys and one girl, and enjoys coaching baseball, softball, and football. His two sons attend Georgia Military College Prep School. Chris grew up in Milledgeville, GA and also attended Georgia Military College Prep School and attended Georgia Military College his freshman year on a baseball scholarship prior to his physical therapy education.

Laynie joined Twin Lakes Physical Therapy in June 2018 and married her husband Colt Spivey (from Monticello, GA) in November of that year. She graduated from Emory University with her DPT and certification in Trigger Point Dry Needling and has been thrilled to bring this service to the Middle GA area.

Laynie is from Statesboro, GA and graduated from Bulloch Academy. She then went on to Georgia Southern where she met her husband and is an avid Eagle Fan. She loves sports including baseball and football, spending time with Colt and her family, and baking/cooking. She is our resident chocolate expert.

Constance Wesson

Constance joined our Milledgeville location in June 2009 as our first Occupational Therapist. Constance is the only Certified Hand Therapist in Milledgeville area. She moved to Georgia in 1995 after serving with the Us Army as an Occupational Therapist.

Constance is married to Dan Wesson and the have two grown sons, Hunter and Grey, who also live locally.

Her interests include: exercising, reading, baking, and taking care of her dogs.

Catherine “Jill” Smith

Jill grew up in Milledgeville and is a high school graduate of Georgia Military College Prep school. She is married to her husband Chris and they have three sons and one daughter. They are very active in sports at GMC Prep and the recreation department. She has a son at Mercer University. She enjoys spending time watching her children’s sporting activities and time on Lake Sinclair.

Daniel Hall

Daniel Hall, PTA, BS

Daniel joined Twin Lakes in April of 2015 after completing an outpatient clinical here. He enjoys working in this high volume clinic with several varieties of orthopedic conditions. He also greatly enjoys the hands-on work required in the field of physical therapy and loves patient interaction. Daniel enjoys treating all orthopedic conditions, but his favorites to treat are: ACL Reconstruction and Rotator Cuff Repairs. Daniel is a native of Sandersville, Georgia and attended Brentwood High School. After high school, he attended Georgia College and State University and graduated in 2012. He then worked as a personal fitness trainer and physical therapy tech for a year prior to returning to physical therapy assistant school in Savannah, Georgia where he graduated in 2015. Daniel was married in October of 2016 to his sweet wife, Grace Anne. He enjoys spending time with her and their two children, Bennett and Naomi. He also enjoys reading, playing sports, and spending time with family and church family. He is a current member of: American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) - since 2014

Samantha Caruso

Teresa Rose, PT

Teresa joined the staff at Twin Lakes Physical therapy during the summer of 2019. Previously she has worked at Central State Hospital in the Developmental Disabilities Division, as well as, Georgia War Veterans Home. She also has experience working in acute care orthopedics at South Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Prior to that, she worked at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for rehabilitation in Warm Springs, GA., where she specialized in long term rehabilitation of spinal cord injuries, head injuries, strokes and post-polio syndrome.

Originally , she is from Palmetto, Georgia in south Fulton County, where she participated in cross country and track in high school. She ran cross country four years on a college scholarship at Ga State University, where she graduated from Physical Therapy school. She is married to her husband Mike, and they have five children and one granddaughter. The oldest three daughters are scattered from Montreal, Canada, to California and Ohio. The youngest daughter is studying architecture at Ga Tech. While the youngest, a son is a senior in high school, currently participating in dual enrollment at GCSU. Her favorite past times include: hiking, backpacking, and mountain biking. She is the head coach of the Old Capital youth Racing Team, a composite mountain biking team for middle and high school students in the local area. She is also an avid watercolorist, with artwork on display on the local and state levels.

Chris joined Twin Lakes Physical Therapy in the summer of 2019. He was recently married in December 2018 to his wife Courtney. Chris is from Dublin, GA and graduated from Trinity Christian School. He played college baseball at East Georgia for 2 years before finishing his undergraduate degree at Georgia Southern University. He now enjoys playing golf, fishing, and lifting weights. He also enjoys watching college and NFL football.

Caroline started her journey at Twin Lakes Physical Therapy as a sophomore in college when she completed her practicum hours as a Georgia College student. She then was hired on as a physical therapy aide and worked until she graduated from GCSU in 2018. Caroline started physical therapy school at the University of North Georgia 2 days after graduating from GCSU and graduated PT school in 2021. She has officially joined TLPT as a physical therapist in June 2021. Caroline really enjoys exercising, soccer, DIY projects, and listening to jazz music in free time. The reason Caroline was drawn to physical therapy is to assist people in becoming victorious over what is currently impairing them!

Justin joined Twin Lakes Physical Therapy in the summer of 2022. Justin is from LaGrange, GA and graduated from Troup High School. He played college baseball at Point University for 5 years and was named Academic All-Conference 3 times. He now enjoys playing golf, weightlifting, and watching college football.
